ATTARIK Foundation participate to the 20^th Astronomy festival of Marrakech on the 11^th October 2019, at the Institut Français of Marrakech by a lecture and a meteorites exhibition.

Global Hands-On Universe

ATTARIK Foundation had the pleasure to participate to the International GHOU (Global Hands-On Universe) First regional meeting in Africa and GTTP (Galilée Teacher Training Program), organized by Professor Hassane Darhmaoui, at Al Akhawayne University of Ifrane Morocco on 24-29 September 2019. Members of the boards of directors Nawal Larouci and Maria Aboulahris and active members of ATTARIK Foundation Larbi Zennouri and Soukaina Arif animated a training on “Meteorites from Morocco identification”. Professor Hasnaa Chennaoui President of ATTARIK Foundation presented a talk: “ATTARIK Foundation, an initiative to promote meteoritics and planetary science in Morocco and beyond”.  These activities were conducted during the 8^th Festival of Astronomy of Ifrane.

Houda EL KERNI member of the board of directors of ATTARIK foundation defended her PhD thesis on July 18^th, 2019 on “The size and the age of the Agoudal impact structure (Central High Atlas, Morocco) using a multidisciplinary approach: Geological, structural, petrographical, mineralogical and geochemical studies” under the supervision of Prof. Hasnaa CHENNAOUI.

Meteoritics institute of the University of New Mexico USA

Taha SHISSEH member of the board of directors of ATTARIK Foundation, PhD student in GAIA laboratory, Faculty of Science Ain Chock, Hassan II University of Casablanca under the supervision of Prof. Hasnaa CHENNAOUI is enrolled on the prestigious US Fulbright program. He will spend one year under the supervision of Prof. Carl AGEE in “Meteoritics institute” of the University of New Mexico: one of the most important laboratories in the world on Meteoritics science.

Maria ABOULAHRIS member of the board of directors of ATTARIK Foundation, PhD student in GAIA laboratory, Faculty of Science Ain Chock, Hassan II University of Casablanca under the supervision of Prof. Hasnaa CHENNAOUI defended her thesis on “Estimation of the density and the flux of meteorites in the desert of North Africa” on Saturday 21^st 2019 at 10:30 in the Faculty of Sciences Ain Chock.
